金沢大学臓器機能制御学循環器内科講師の川尻 剛照先生が「アステラス病態代謝研究会平成24年度研究助成」に応募、採択されました。本研究助成は、研究費としての価値は勿論のこと、応募数、評価など、大変名誉ある研究助成として多くの医学研究者が目標としているものです。川尻先生は、今回「PCSK9遺伝子異常・多型と動脈硬化進展に関する研究」で計531題の申請の中から採択されたものです。AHA参加報告にもありますように、PCSK9に関するコレステロール代謝が大変注目を集めている中、今回の研究費採択は大変意義深いものがあります。川尻先生の今後の活躍が期待されます。
